I'm Alston Antony. I run WebsiteHosting.lk as my independent, first-person guide to building, hosting and running websites in Sri Lanka. Everything on this site is written by me, from what I've actually built, hosted and paid for.
Who I am (short version)
- Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Building websites since 2010 — 15+ years in.
- Owned and managed 100+ websites, tested 500+ SaaS and hosting tools with my own money.

Why this site exists
Most Sri Lankan web hosting content on Google is either an ad, a rewritten global blog post that doesn't know what LKR is, or a lead-gen page that ranks its own agency #1 by default. I got tired of that. WebsiteHosting.lk is the site I wished existed when I registered my first .lk domain.

- Website cost — real LKR ranges, not fantasy numbers.
- Web design — hiring, quotations, ownership.
- Domains — .lk, .com, ownership.
- Website builders — WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace.
- Ecommerce — payment gateways, launching a store, shipping.
What I don't cover
Generic digital marketing, general SEO, social-media tactics, or crypto/AI news. If it doesn't directly help a Sri Lankan person build or run a website, it doesn't belong here.
How I make money
