Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The commission helps fund the research, testing and updates that go into every page.

My rule is simple: ranking never changes because a program pays more. I rank by what's on the page — the criteria I publish. If a provider has no affiliate program and they're still the right choice, I still recommend them.

Where I use affiliate links

• Hosting companies (Hostinger, SiteGround, Namecheap, Cloudways, and similar).
• Website builders (Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Hostinger Website Builder).
• Domain registrars.
• Referral fees where I introduce readers to vetted Sri Lankan web design providers.

Independence

No advertiser or affiliate has editorial control over this site. I run it. I write it. I own the mistakes. Corrections go through the contact page.

My own rule from my personal site

On my personal site (alstonantony.com) I often provide both an affiliate link and a non-affiliate link, so readers can choose. I bring the same spirit here: if you'd rather not use my link, go straight to the provider — the recommendation stands either way.
